Library

Summer reading challenge Instagram Post.png

Library is offered weekly to all students in grades K-6.  Grades K-5 have a short library lesson based off of a school-wide curriculum program designed specifically for our school. Program topics include library etiquette, book care, vocabulary of the week, parts of a book, how to choose a book, book genres, Christian holiday studies, and other varied topics. Each library visit also includes a read-aloud session and time for students to check out books.  Our librarian, Mrs. Wagner, partners with the 6th-8th grade teachers to create a research-friendly environment by teaching the skills of finding reliable sources and how to cite them in papers and offering differentiated support to meet the varying needs of students.
